What can I say? I am a California Native, born in Southern California lived there until 2006 and moved to Northern California that same year. I have been a stay at home mom since my older child was 2 years old. Now that baby has graduated college and lives on her own in Bellevue, Washington. The “young one” as we have called her, is a college student living with us for the time being.
When I first got married, I did not have any cookbooks. I had to borrow a couple from my mother in law! Well, I no longer have that problem. I probably have over 200 now and each one serves a purpose, whether it be the pretty pictures, reminds me of a place I visited, given to me by someone very dear to me or maybe an actual recipe, I cannot part with a single one. At least Mr. K does not say too much to me about my obsession(s).
I am not a recipe developer. I just try things and if I think they are tasty, I will share. I am trying to use as many local foods as I can, tell you how you can get them too. This year I did travel a lot (for me) so if I am in a part of the world and I experience local gems where I am visiting, I will share those treats too! Continuing soon…
Notes – Right now all my photos have been taken with an iPhone. I do have a Nikon DSLR, but I have not tackled using that equipment yet. (Still the evolution of Cindi there too)
As far as ingredients go, you can swap out anything and make it your own. For the sugar, I will use the word “sweetener” and you use your own choice of sweetener accordingly. Right now I am trying to stay away from sugar, so in my pantry now I use mainly Splenda.
